E-Z Freezin® Semen Extenders are recommended for use in equine frozen semen breeding programs. These extenders are used to freeze semen in liquid nitrogen for long-term storage. Our two original E-Z Freezin® Semen Extender formulas, Lactose EDTA and Modified French, are the industry standards for freezing stallion semen.

All E-Z Freezin® freezing extenders are packaged in 15 ml hermetically sealed packets and sold in 5-packs containing a total volume of 75 ml.
Animal Reproduction Systems takes great care and pride in the methods used to produce, test, package and store E-Z Freezin® so that customers receive a fresh, quality product. E-Z Freezin® is a perishable product that should remain frozen until use. E-Z Freezin® extenders must be placed in a freezer immediately upon receipt. Do not thaw packets until immediately before use. Discard any extender not used on the same day it is thawed.
All shipments of E-Z Freezin® Extenders include certification of production using eggs that are produced by a flock that is certified Specific Pathogen Free. The flock is certified free of the following pathogens: Avian Adenovirus Group I, Avian Adenovirus Group II (HEV), Avian Adenovirus Group III (EDS), Avian Encephalomyelitis, Avian Influenza (Type A), Avian Reovirus, Fowl Pox, Infectious Bronchitis-Ark., Infectious Bronchitis-Conn., Infectious Bronchitis-JMK, Infectious Bronchitis-Mass., Infectious Bursal Disease, Infectious Laryngotracheitis, Lymphoid Leukosis (A, B), Lymphoid Leukosis Viruses, Marek's Disease (Serotypes 1,2,3), Mycoplasma gallisepticum, Mycoplasma synoviae, Newcastle Disease, Reticuloendotheliosis Virus, Salmonella enterica seruvari, Pullorum and Gallinarum, and Salmonella.

E-Z Freezin Semen Extenders may be stored frozen for two to three years in a non-frost free freezer before use.
Now shipped on a combination of dry-ice and ice packs Monday through Wednesday allowing two day shipping year around.

E-Z Freezin® Semen Extender orders are recommended to be shipped on Monday through Wednesday, on dry ice and ice packs. Customers may opt for three day or ground shipping if desired. Contact ARS for details.
Research at the Colorado State University Equine Reproduction Laboratory has determined that thawing during shipment and subsequent refreezing does not adversely affect this product and have decided to have their E-Z Freezin® Extenders shipped using more economical services during the cooler months of the year. Shipments of E-Z Freezin® Extenders on ice packs are now available on Thursday for overnight shipments at the customer's request.
Note: Due to the temperature sensitivity of this product, return of E-Z Freezin® Semen Extender is not accepted.
E-Z Freezin® Semen Extenders are sold by Animal Reproduction Systems under exclusive license with the Colorado State University Foundation. The formulas for these Extenders were developed in coordination with the Colorado State University, Animal Reproduction and Biotechnology Laboratory. Each E-Z Freezin® lot is evaluated by the CSU to ensure a superior product.
